Administration Division

Administration Division is responsible for Personal Management and General Administration pertaining to the activities of the Commission.

Staff Development for TVEC is the main function of this division and,

  • Establish policies  and procedures to enable effective and efficient functions of the Commission.
  • Ensure the condition and safe keeping of physical assets and vehicles etc.
  • Recruitment of staff required by the Commission on the approval of Management Services Department of the Treasury.
Planning and Research Division

The P & R Division is responsible for the following activities.

  • Preparation and Updating of VET Plans

  • Financial Assistance to TVET Sector (Public and Private)

  • Establishing NVQ Framework

  • Preparation of Prospectus for TVEC

  • Conduct relevant research programms

 

National Vocational Qualification Division

The NVQ Division is responsible for the following activities.

  • Implementation of certificate printing procedure and print/issue NVQ certificates

  • Updating of web and NVQ/MIS with relevant information of NVQ

  • Conducting/ organizing / monitoring of “5S” audits

  • Coordinating for ISO documentation/training and other requirements

  • Conducting awareness and promotion programs on NVQ

  • Organizing and preparing of NVQ printed materials viz. leaflets, other promotional materials

  • Monitoring the progress of development of national skill standard & Curricula

  • Effective utilization of available funds allocated for NVQ activities

  • Preparation of progress report (monthly) of NVQ division and submit to DDG

  • Annual review of corporate plan and division objectives relevant to NVQ division

  • Preparation of annual activity plan for NVQ division

  • Marketing of NVQ among the industry sectors and other beneficiaries

Standards and Accreditation Division

This division functions with following main objectives.

  • Implement the National System of Registration of Technical & Vocational Education Providers (Training Institutes)

  • Prepare accreditation standards for course accreditation, accredit courses and monitor the maintenance of standards.

  • Develop and endorse National Skills Standards and course curricula in the TVET sector.

  • Establish and maintain quality management system at all training institutions to ensure the quality of training.

Information Systems Division

IS Division is handles the overall management of information and communication system in TVEC with following key activities,

  • Develop the Local area Network (LAN) and implementing security policies for users.

  • Manage internet and email facilities

  • Dissemination of Labour Market Information

  • Maintenance of internal Data Bases for Labour Market Information System (LMIS), Management Information system for TVET Sector(MIS), Training institutes Registration and accreditation (R&A).

  • Maintain TVEC Web site.

  • managing of TVEC Library.

Accounts Division

Accounts Division is responsible for Overall  Financial Management  activities of the Commission. The Main functions of this division can be listed as follows,

  • Preparation of Annual Budget and obtain funds

  • Managing of tender Procedures

  • Maintain the inventory in TVEC
